10 Self Care Tips to Cope with Isolation and Stress

Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. As an individual, you might be experiencing feelings of isolation, uncertainty and anxiety. You might be feeling overwhelmed with navigating your loved one’s care while looking after your own needs. As a family member, you might be feeling unsure of how you can help. This is understandable, and you are not alone. While this is a stressful time, there are a few things we can do to tend to our physical and emotional needs. Not only can these self-care practices help us cope with isolation and stress, but also keep us feeling our best all year long.


  1. Practice good hygiene

  2. Eat well 

  3. Get enough sleep

  4. Exercise regularly 

  5. Stay in touch 

  6. Do calming activities you enjoy 

  7. Express yourself 

  8. Get organized 

  9. Ask for help when needed 

  10. Take time to talk (check on) your family
